Seminar: Quarterly Legal Update Winter 2016

Thursday 4 February 2016

Our Winter 2016 Quarterly Legal Update is designed to provide an essential overview to both employers and trustees of significant developments affecting occupational pension provision in the UK.

We will consider the key legal issues arising over the last quarter impacting on the pensions industry (and also take a look ahead at what the pensions future holds) by concentrating on the following four areas:

  • Pensions reform
  • Legislation
  • Regulatory requirements
  • Case law.

The much vaunted revised DC code was issued by the Pensions Regulator for consultation at the end of November 2015.  Built around the standards of conduct and practice which the Regulator “expects” from DC trustees, the draft code takes into account numerous changes to DC legislation, such as the minimum governance standards and charges measures.  In our Spotlight, we will focus on what the draft Code will mean for DC trustees in practice and what else we can expect from the Regulator in the coming months.

By attending this event you can claim 1.5 hours CPD under the PMI CPD scheme.
