And whilst strong academics (at least a 2.1 from a good university and As/Bs at A level) and the aptitude to develop excellent legal technical capabilities are essential, we believe that bringing a sense of humour and laughter to working life are key to maintaining the right balance.
Current vacancies Pensions clients are requiring legal advice across an ever increasing spectrum, delivered effectively. Sackers is one of only a few firms that can provide this complete service. It is because of this ‘flight to quality’ that we have had such successful growth in recent years, a trend which will only continue. Consequently, we are continually seeking high calibre lawyers to join at the newly qualified or more experienced levels. We also seriously consider talented lawyers with experience outside pensions law.

The firm is deliberately geared towards a 1:1 partner to assistant ratio in order to ensure that you are at the coal face for on the job training. You will be encouraged to take an active role within the pensions industry at various levels through participation with associations including National Association of Pension Funds, Pensions Management Institute, Society of Pension Consultants and Association of Pension Lawyers. And whilst sound legal technical knowledge is essential to and a key foundation of a role within Sackers, without business acumen and other related competencies, the firm would fall short of meeting its high standards of client service.
