Practical tips and traps in ill health and death benefit cases - a workshop

Thursday 17 May 2012

On Thursday 17 May, we will be running a breakfast workshop designed to assist those involved in dealing with ill-health and death benefit cases.
This interactive session will feature two example cases designed to highlight some of the key areas of difficulty in ill-health and death benefit cases.  Numbers will be limited to give everybody involved an opportunity to take an active role in the discussions.
We may be running the workshop on another date if we receive sufficient interest so if you would are interested in attending do let us know even if you cannot make this date.

Why Ill Health and Death Benefits?

These are two areas on which Trustees are frequently asked to make decisions and they can often be complex and involve sensitive issues.  It is hoped that this workshop will assist all those involved in dealing with such cases to develop their thinking and frameworks for reaching decisions.
These are also areas that are often the subject of Pensions Ombudsman complaints by members.
