About
Emily joined Sackers in 2002, and has developed pensions experience over a broad range of areas.
She has been involved in a number of large scheme restructurings and mergers,advising extensively in relation to future service changes and associated consultation exercises and contractual changes. She has particular experience of assisting trustees in responding to proposals put forward by scheme sponsors for managing defined benefit liabilities.
As a member of the firm’s Employment Unit, assisting clients on employment related issues within the pensions arena, Emily has a particular interest in discrimination, and the benefit design challenges posed by flexible working practices.
Emily is an active member of the Association of Pension Lawyers and the NAPF, and has presented on subjects including de-risking, covenant assessment, and the proper use of scheme amendment powers.
