Work examples - landmark matters:

  • Pilots' National Pension Fund - acting for the Port of London Authority in major Part 8 proceeding, dealing with a number of important aspects of the 'section 75 regime'.
  • Sea Containers – Leading the litigation for the trustees of the Sea Containers pension scheme. They successfully obtained the first-ever financial support direction issued by the Pensions Regulator. 
  • telent – Leading the litigation for the trustee of the telent (formerly Marconi) pension scheme.  The trustee successfully obtained the appointment of independent trustees following a bid for telent by Pension Corporation.
  • Drake Insurance plc v. MacDonald – acting for the independent trustee in proceedings which sought the rectification of an incorrect amendment deed regarding early retirement pensions.
