Sackers' Moral Hazzard triumph at Pensions Rocks!

Sackers is still celebrating after its very own rock band, Moral Hazzard, was crowned champion on the third night of Pensions Rocks! 2012.

The five man band, made up of Ian Cormican (lead singer), John Parkinson (drums), Tom Jackman (guitar), Nigel Cayless (lead guitar) and Richard Forrest (bass) who joined the band from his day job at TPAS, triumphed over five other competing bands at the third and final night of the charity event held on Wednesday 29th February.

A panel of judges including Ros Altmann and Pensions Week editor David Rowley declared Moral Hazzard as the evening’s top performance after a storming set with songs including ‘Take Me Out’ by Franz Ferdinand and an alternative take on ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’ by Tiffany.

The event raised an impressive £23,000 over its three night run, with Moral Hazzard winning a share of the pot to raise £4,500 which will be split between Sackers' chosen charities – Richard House and Contact the Elderly.

Ian Cormican, lead singer and partner, comments: “We are all over the moon about our win.  Not only did we have great fun, but also – and much more importantly – raised a great amount to donate to the charities the firm supports. This was Moral Hazzard's debut performance, but our win now means that a world tour can only be a matter of time."
