Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

Our CSR Committee leads our approach in helping certain voluntary groups and pushing forward initiatives to reduce the impact on the environment of the firm’s operations.

Indicative of activities undertaken are as follows:

• Providing volunteers to give interview training to pupils in local schools situated in the East End of London, to give children a chance of gaining practical skills to help them gain a job/university place.
• Working with Richard House, a children’s hospice in London, to provide support to their important work for children in and around London.

We acknowledge our role as a responsible employer in minimising both the impact on the environment of our activities and those of our suppliers. We actively manage our energy usage and the consumption of resources, and seek ways to minimise waste and promote recycling. We are working to develop our business in a sustainable way through a programme of continuous improvement.

Our new client centre typifies the care taken to minimise impact on the environment. We tried to use materials based on sustainable and renewable sources whilst we took care to introduce the most efficient and environmentally-friendly systems in areas such as ventilation, office air-conditioning and new lighting.

We recognise however that there are other initiatives we can take to minimise and to manage down our carbon footprint. A project team is implementing a range of initiatives in the firm. These range from additional recycling processes to examining carbon offset initiatives to put us on carbon neutral footing.
