Michael Hames

Michael has gained pensions experience over a broad range of areas and advises clients on the general day-to-day issues of running their pension scheme. His experience includes amending and winding up pension schemes, closing schemes to future accrual, scheme mergers and scheme administration issues.

Michael frequently advises on the pensions aspects of corporate acquisitions. Michael has a particular interest in international pension issues and is a member of the firm’s International Pensions Team assisting clients on pensions related issues outside of the UK. Michael has undertaken speaking engagements on behalf of the International Pensions Team and at the APL beginners course.

Michael’s recent experience has focused on advice in relation to recent legislative changes, in particular A-Day issues and age discrimination.
