Seminar: GDPR – get your pension scheme ready for the new rules

Thursday 12 October 2017

This event is now full. You can register to join our webinar.

This autumn, the Government will introduce a new Data Protection Bill aimed at giving people more control over their personal data and better protection for the digital age. In line with the new European requirements set out in the General Data Protection Regulation, the Bill will make significant changes to the existing data protection rules. Despite Brexit, the new European requirements will apply in the UK from 25 May 2018.

Join our breakfast seminar to find out what practical steps trustees and employers should be taking now to get ready. In particular, our seminar will focus on:

  • key steps that can be taken now in order to be ready for May 2018
  • data protection governance and taking the steps that will ensure that schemes have appropriate policies and procedures in place
  • ensuring that trustee contracts with third parties stand up to the new rules
  • troubleshooting the questions that are coming up in practice.

By attending this event you can claim 1.5 hours CPD under the PMI CPD scheme.

If you aren’t able to attend this seminar, register to join the webinar.
