Emily Rowley discusses how pension schemes can tackle diversity on trustee boards in Pensions Age


Associate, Emily Rowley, explains that more trustee boards are asking what they can do to make sure they have proper representation of their members.

Rowley cites TPR guidance for DC schemes which recommends trustee boards should be diverse and well balanced, “as far as possible”,” in order to deliver good governance.  She acknowledges that it can be difficult as boards are not in sole control of appointments, but goes on to consider what steps schemes can take to address diversity.
