Sackers boosts alternative funding and contingent asset practice with new hire
Sackers has announced the expansion of its alternative funding and contingent asset practice with the appointment of Paige Willis as Associate.
Vicky Carr, Partner and Head of Sackers’ contingent asset and alternative funding practice, commented: “Paige’s appointment reflects an increasing demand from trustees and employers for advice on a wide range of funding and security solutions for defined benefit pension schemes, both in the context of scheme funding discussions and where a corporate event impacts the employer covenant. With our specialist pensions focus, we are ideally placed to advise on these arrangements and Paige is a most welcome addition to the team.”
Paige Willis joins from international law firm, Ashurst, having worked in the Securities and Derivatives team since qualifying in March 2017. At Sackers she will be working on a broad spectrum of funding and security solutions, including: guarantees; escrow arrangements; surety bonds; letters of credit and legal mortgages over real estate; and asset-backed contribution structures.
