Sackers comments on TPR seeking forced entry powers to seize assets

Tom Jackman, associate director, comments on TPR’s recent announcement that it has appointed High Court Enforcement Officers to enforce court orders.

The enforcement action is intended to be a last resort where employers have failed to pay penalty notices issued for fines and levies including, non-compliance with auto-enrolment and fines for scheme returns and chair’s statement offences.

Jackman comments: “TPR has made it clear that this action is a last resort, one which targets the minority who wilfully disregard auto-enrolment duties and/or the fines issued by TPR.”
