Senior partner David Saunders sets out his hopes and expectations for the industry in 2024, as part of an article in Professional Pensions which asks pension lawyers what they expect to be on their agendas this year.

A key question for many is the likelihood of changes passing through the legislative framework before a general election. David says: “There are numerous major changes vying for a suitable parliamentary landing slot in 2024, including the many proposals put forward as part of the chancellor’s Mansion House package of pensions reforms. But the new DB funding requirements and the planned pensions tax overhaul will have an immediate and fundamental impact once in force.”
