Celebrating IWD 2024

We were delighted to co-host an exclusive International Women’s Day event as part of the pensions chapter of the Female Forum last night. The event celebrated the outstanding contributions of women in the pensions industry. Sarah Smart, chair of the Pensions Regulator, gave an inspiring keynote, sharing her career journey with guests. This was followed by a panel discussion on the topic of “Empowerment through networking: role models in the pension industry”. Expertly moderated by Sarah de Lagarde, the panel included Sackers partner Eleanor Daplyn alongside Terry Miller CBE, Sandie Dhlamini from TPR and Jane Shoemake from Janus Henderson.

Eleanor Daplyn commented: “As one of the Partner Champions for Diversity and Inclusion within Sackers, I am proud to be part of a firm with an excellent track record in female mentorship. Building on our strong foundations in this area, we take active steps to maintain our positive approach to training and education. For example, lawyers returning from parental leave benefit from personal coaching and all staff can access our new parent mentoring tool. I am thrilled to be celebrating International Women’s Day with the pensions chapter of the Female Forum, empowering and supporting all women across the industry through collaboration, guidance and mentorship.”
