I advise both trustees and employers on a wide range of pensions matters affecting their DB, DC and hybrid pension arrangements.

I work with trustees to help them deal with the day to day issues they face. This includes assisting them with interpreting their scheme’s rules, exercising discretions, handling member benefit queries and complaints and dealing with data protection issues, reviewing member communications and undertaking contract reviews. I have a particular interest in supporting trustees to navigate tricky member cases and compliance with their scheme’s rules or overriding legislative requirements.

I also have experience of derisking and GMP equalisation projects and rules consolidations.

• Assisting with buy-in and buy-out projects, including preparing benefit specifications
• Preparing rules consolidations and amendments
• Advising on proposals to manage the trigger of a section 75 debt
• Providing trustee training on the latest legal developments
