I advise trustees and employers on a wide range of pensions disputes, including in relation to member complaints under schemes’ internal dispute resolution procedures and before the Pensions Ombudsman, professional negligence claims, and rectification actions.

I have experience of applications to the High Court and Court of Appeal (in a commercial litigation context), as well as resolving claims via mediation, with a number of successful outcomes for clients. I also support clients with risk management and dispute prevention, to avoid (where possible) escalation to litigation.

Recent experience includes:

• advising in relation to complaints brought by members to the Pensions Ombudsman;
• acting for trustees, employers and representative beneficiaries in Court proceedings relating to historic errors in scheme documentation;
• acting for trustees and employers in professional negligence claims against multiple professional advisers; and
• advising trustees and employers in relation to court claims brought by members and beneficiaries.
