Oliver Topping comments in PMI’s COVID-19 industry guide on lessons learned from the coronavirus crisis

Senior associate, Oliver Topping, has contributed to the Pension Management Institute’s (PMI) COVID-19 industry guide on the lessons learned by the industry in the first few months of the coronavirus outbreak.

His article comments on how pensions schemes have had to adapt extremely quickly to the crisis, and completely transform the way they operate, holding virtual trustee meetings for example, as well as attempt to weather volatility in the financial markets. As we approach the “new normal”, Oliver reflects on how schemes have successfully navigated these first few months of unprecedented change.

He also focuses on how can we apply our recent experience to legal and governance challenges arising over the immediate future and the longer term.
