Senior hire at Sackers

We are pleased to announce Alex Anslow has joined Sackers as associate director, taking the total number of qualified lawyers at the firm to 70.

Alex Anslow is a senior lawyer who trained and qualified at Hogan Lovells. He joins us after nine years at the Pensions Regulator and in central government, where he was Head of Private Pensions Policy at HM Treasury.  Alex has experience with regulatory enforcement cases and use of the Regulator’s powers.  He has also worked closely with DWP on the development of occupational pensions policy and with HMRC on pensions tax policy.

At Sackers, Alex will be advising trustees, employers and providers on a broad range of DB and DC advisory and project work, including end-game options being considered by DB schemes, GMP equalisation and master trust retirement propositions.

David Saunders, senior partner, said: “At a time of pivotal change in the pensions industry and with a general election looming, Alex brings hugely valuable regulatory and legislative experience which we can harness and share with our clients to ensure they are best placed to deal with the significant changes that lie ahead.”
