Katy advises a number trustees and employers on a wide range of general pensions issues.
Katy is a member of the firm’s employment unit, a team of lawyers focusing on employment law issues as they relate to pensions, and has a particular interest in discrimination, as well as pension tax issues.
Katy’s recent work includes:
- working with trustees and employers looking to manage defined benefit liabilities through a variety of means including scheme closures and liability management exercises
- consolidating and updating scheme documentation including trust deeds and rules and scheme booklets
- project managing valuation negotiations for two schemes of one of our larger clients
- assisting trustees with a range of “day to day” issues including interpretation of scheme rules, member communications, compliance with legislative requirements and handling member queries and complaints.
