I am training to become a solicitor at Sackers under their Graduate Solicitor Apprentice programme. Over 2.5 years I will gain experience in four different areas of the firm, Knowhow, Banking, Pensions Litigation and General pensions, while also studying for the Solicitors Qualifying Exams at the University of Law. I spend four days of the week in the office, with the fifth allocated to study.

I am currently sitting in the Banking team and have been providing support on a wide range of transactions. So far, the highlight of this seat has been assisting in providing advice to trustees in relation to an asset-backed finance structure involving a loan note.  Before this, I enjoyed my seat in General Pensions. It provided me with the opportunity to observe buy-in and buy-out projects, the managing of scheme wind-ups and advise generally on scheme governance queries.
