Sackers responds to Conditions for Transfers Consultation
Georgina Jones, partner, comments: “We welcome the DWP’s efforts to refine the transfer regulations and make the process work more effectively for pension savers while maintaining important protections against scams. While the proposed “reputable scheme” concept has the potential to simplify many transfer cases, further clarity will be needed on how trustees are expected to assess reputability in practice, to avoid adding further complexity, cost and delay to the transfer process.”
