I am a specialist pensions lawyer, advising trustees and employers on all aspects of pensions law and pension scheme taxation.

I have a broad practice, working across DB, DC and collective defined contribution schemes. I have advised on issues including trustee duties, drafting scheme documentation, regulatory changes and scheme funding negotiations. I always ensure my advice is pragmatic and considers the commercial context.

Before joining Sackers I was a Lead Lawyer at The Pensions Regulator, gaining extensive experience in regulatory policy and enforcement. At TPR I was involved in a variety of cases from the enforcement of TPR’s moral hazard powers, to DB scheme valuations, to governance issues for master trusts. I previously also served as Head of Private Pensions Policy at HM Treasury, where my focus was defined benefit and pensions tax policy. I have worked closely with DWP and across government on the development of occupational pensions and tax policy. I am keen to use this experience to help clients navigate their way through the ever-increasing web of pensions regulation.

I am a member of the Legislative & Parliamentary Committee of the Association of Pension Lawyers, actively contributing to government consultations and forthcoming pensions policy, helping to shape new legislation to best meet clients’ needs.
