Roundtable: Meeting the challenge of scheme governance in the 21st century

Wednesday 29 November 2017

The significant challenges and changes faced by those running pension arrangements mean the need for effective governance has never been greater. With so many other competing demands, day-to-day governance issues may get overlooked yet they are fundamental to the efficient running of a scheme. We have designed this roundtable session to focus on governance best practice and to give you practical guidance on the issues you come up against every day such as:

  • roles and responsibilities
  • managing conflicts
  • managing risk effectively
  • purpose and strategy
  • effective delegation.

As TPR’s 21st century campaign gains momentum, we are delighted that Amanda Latham, Policy analyst and Mark Potter, Policy lead will be joining the discussion to give their perspective. The session will enable you to share ideas and best practice on day-to-day governance issues as well as being an opportunity to put your questions to the Regulator and members of our specialist governance team. The session is aimed at trustee executive teams, scheme secretaries and pension managers.
