Seminar: Pension scams – regulation and the customer journey

Wednesday 22 November 2017

Sackers is hosting the Pension Scams Seminar – Regulation and the Customer Journey, run by the Pensions Advisory Service in conjunction with the London Fraud Forum.

It is estimated that since April 2014 members of the public have lost £43 million of pension savings to pension scammers, and the Government has confirmed new measures to protect private pension savers from the threat of unscrupulous individuals.

This seminar will provide important updates on the regulations that are currently in place, the role of the Pensions Regulator and the guidance available to the general public, with an emphasis on the support available to individuals if they become a victim of a crime or are under threat.

The guest speakers are:

  • Helen Ball, Partner, Sackers
  • Michelle Cracknell, Chief Executive, The Pensions Advisory Service
  • Mike Broomfield, Head of Information, the Pensions Regulator
